Alright so check dis.

I had a HP Compaq Presario CQ50-215NR with Vista 64-bit.

Reformatted to a XP SP3, had a problem with the graphics driver, but figured that out myself.

everything else worked fine except my audio?

I installed the right drivers, but it's not working for some reason.

Like when i go to the sounds thing it says no audio device?

and in device manager it appears to be working...

so idk :) any suggestions?

Hi Exaltation ...welcome to Geeks To Go... :)

try reinstalling your chipset drivers...
if that doesnt help...go here and see if you can get a audio driver there...I couldn't find one for xp though...
