Anyways...

[bleep] it! I tried Windows Update, and got (you guessed it) another BSOD! :)

0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBE836AE4, 0xB8A58B28, 0x00000000)

win32k.sys - Address BF836AE4, Base BF800000

Sorry for the really long delay, I'm sure you didn't mind though :)

I restored files from my backup drive after making another partition and installing Windows XP on it. It seems to have worked, no BSODs since a week ago! I'll let you know if there are any other problems :)
