Hello everybody...
I'm new to this site and still a novice when it comes to computers so please bare with me. Anyway, I recently purchased a HP Mini from a co-worker of mine and have been trying to run a full system restore for a week now and to no avail... I know for my PC as soon as I set it up I was prompted to burn a 3 disc restoration, I had asked my co-worker if it had came with a flash drive or something to run a full system restoration but he just told me to "Google It!". Well I've tried google and yahoo and I try following the on-screen directions but it still wont work! If anyone out there could please help me out that would be awesome! Thanks in advance!!!
Oh BTW, I wanna run a system restore to bring it back to factory settings and clear all data on it!

Normally HPs you recover by pressing F10 or F11 on the POST screen.
This is only possible if:

1) It's intact which it won't be if the recovery disks have already been made by the previous owner
2) The machine is on its original hard drive and/or installation from the factory.
3) The recovery partition hasn't been damaged by malware infections out there. It is possible and it has happened.
4) You may have an option on the Windows Start Menu to start system recovery from there.

If you cannot invoke system recovery, the only option you have is to borrow an XP/Vista CD from somewhere and wipe it manually.
