I am running Windsow XP Home edition and my web browser was recently changed to Chrome, I had AVG and swtiched to AVAST because I am having issues with "Viruses" or so it AVG was telling me. So I installed AVAST, it found 1 trojan virus (so it says) but now I am getting this OXC0000034 error and I cannot figure out what this is or what I need to do to fix this. Oh and I can't seem to restore my computer to a previous date either and the error that flashes up on the screen during reboot flashes too fast to see or write down.

Can someone please help me fix this issue and perhap tell me a GOOD Virus program to run because I don't think that either one of these are helping me.

Hello r_cubed69.... Welcome to GeeksToGo, :) :) :)
Since it looks like your issue started with a infection I would like to make sure you are healthy first as anything we do here may not work if you still have a active infection. Will the system boot into windows?
If not we can try to get you back up and running so you can move on to malware.
If so then:

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Add a link to this topic so that malware tech can see what steps have been taken here
