Well, it appears I have the smitfraud virus. After reading several posts, I have downloaded Hijackthis and created a log. I've run Ad-ware and Avast with few results.

Any help or suggestions are very much welcome.

I ran Ad-Aware this morning and it seemed to do the trick. I was able to get to the appearences tab and change the background.
