Virus blocking Internet connection + constant freezing

Hi recently my computer has not been working. Anytime I try to access the Internet in anyway ( aol aim firefox iTunes etc ) it will not connect and then freezes. When not accessing the Internet it freezes in about 5 minutes without use. I'm on my laptop and cannot download any removal tools because I cannot connect to the Internet. Ps. My wireless Internet still works
