I had a 5 year old dell which I gave to my daughter, and got myself a new computer.
The problem is.. my old dell didn't even have 1 gig, but I was able to do alot more on it.
I was able to have a window with several tabs, and have other windows open as well as have my two messengers open.

With this computer I have now... I will have one browser window open and a few tabs, but if I want to open another browswer window, or bring up an applet (game) within the same browser... it just hangs. It gives white screens. It doesn't say low on resources or anything, it just doesn't attempt to do anything. I then notice that if I close a tab or two then the applet will open right up, or another browswer windo will load suddenly. It is like it doesn't handle as much which I really don't get. I bought it so I could move faster. I find I am able to do less.

I guess what I am wondering is.. is there a setting on the vista computers to allow me to do more at once? I like doing multiple things.. and some of the things I do require multiple windows open.

Not sure if it is the vista or the windows 8 that is the problem.
