Hi Folks
Recently upgraded to OO 3.1. Also added Avast AV and Sunbelt Firewall. Also have SpywareGuard and SpywareBlaster protecting the system. OO quick start is added to the startup (and shows up in systray). Opening of the first instance of OO (whether blank or opening an existing OO file) takes 1-2 minutes. Subsequent opens are only a second or two. The initial open is unacceptable. I realize a lot of files to support OO need to load in memory ... but still -- i thought that's what the quick start on boot was supposed to handle?
Ideas?? Could it be Avast or Sunbelt?? Anyone recommend a complete uninstall/re-install?

Thanks

[UPDATE] I did an uninstall of all Java and OpenOffice. Cleaned up the user profile for OO found in Documents and Settings/.../Application Data/Open Officexx. Did a new install of latest JRE and Open Office. Performance is now acceptable. Note that Sunbelt and Avast did not have a noticable affect of application startup performance.
