my comp is just shutting off on me

OK i was in operation XP area of the site and they suggested i come to this area to check if it might be a malware or spyware problem on why my comp just shuts off. When im using my comp and i get on AIM to talk on the Cam about 5 mins in while on cam my comp just shuts off. Can anyone help me? I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop if that is any extra helpful info
