spyware infection

Hi there, just signed up.

I've got an infection on my laptop which has resulted in my windows firewall being switched off and greyed out so i cant switch it back on

I've been through the cleaning guide and got to the stage of installing malwarebytes anti-malware. It has been installed on my desktop, but i click the icon and nothing happens! not sure why, all other programs work

Please help!
