Hi guys,
I am trying to fix my own computer. I am using firefox for a long time ago, but I sometimes need iexplorer to be working to access websites from the government. Actually for no reason all of a sudden iexplorer stop working. When I click on the shortcut it says "Windows can't find iexplorer.exe, verify that the name is correctly..."

So I did a search for iexplorer.exe in my computer which was in 2 places :
- C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe
- C:\WINDOWS\ie8\iexplorer.exe

But even if I click on the shortcut itself it says the same "windows can't find iexplorer.exe..."

I am on windows XP with all latest updates
I ran several antivirus scans nothing found
I also did : regsvr32.exe "c:\program files\internet explorer\ieproxy.dll" but it didn't changed anything.

No clue what to try now...

Any good idea?

Internet Explorer is not called iexplorer.exe, it is called iexplore.exe (the filename of Internet Explorer), and that's why you won't find iexplorer.exe on your computer. If you have iexplorer.exe (as opposed to iexplore.exe) then it's a malware infection.
