Hello, today i bought a Logitech LX8 cordless mouse from my computer store today thinking it was a good buy. I took it home and unwrapped it and it came with no software or drivers. It told me to go to www.logitech.com/downloads i did this and downloaded the driver/software i needed (setpoint480) i then installed this and it asked me to reset my computer and said the device should work once is reset. The computer comes back on and i plug the usb reciever in Windows vista then comes up with new device added, installing. Vista can then not find a driver and i tell it to search C:\program files where i installed the driver and no luck it cant find it. I then open up set point fiddle with every setting possible and read through the help file but no luck the mouse wont work. reinstalled the software/drivers a few times still no luck. so i thought i would try the version before it (setpoint472) and uninstalled 480 and tryed 472 and guess what no luck. i have racked my brains trying everything i can think of but it wont work. I am extremely annoyed that they sell this new with no information on how to install it and no help when it wont work. So if anyone can help me i would very much appreciate it otherwise its going back to the shop.

cheers benny
