I am running the latest version of iTunes, 8.2.1.6 on Windows Vista. I am unable to connect to the iTunes store or search for iTunes updates via Help. Both give me the message that iTunes cannot connect because the network connection timed out. I am able to connect to the internet from all other programs but iTunes.

To try to solve the issue I have:
-Disabled Windows Firewall
-Disabled Symantec Anti-Virus
-Flushed DNS settings
-Re-installed iTunes

I am not sure, but I believe this all happened after installing the latest iTunes version and various updates for Windows.

I ran the Diagnostics test for iTunes and have the following results:

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (Build 6001)
Hewlett-Packard Compaq Presario CQ50 Notebook PC
iTunes 8.2.1.6
QuickTime 7.6.2
FairPlay 1.4.10
iPod Updater Library 8.1d19
CD Driver 2.1.0.1
CD Driver DLL 2.1.1.1
Apple Mobile Device 2.5.2.2
Apple Mobile Device Driver 1.43.0.0
Bonjour 1.0.6.2 (118.5)

iTunes Serial Number 01BE127889619D89

The current local date and time is 2009-08-15 21:56:22.
iTunes is not running in safe mode.
