hi,

whilst on the internet a trojan virus infected my computer and closed all open applications and restarted my computer. after that it would only boot to the blue screen (B.S.O.D).

i restarted in safe mode and ran virus and spyware scans. i then booted from last good config which worked for about 2 mins. after that my computer restarted to the login screen, but with no login box. the screen is just blue with no where for me to type my username or password.

the only way i can get the login box to be displayed is to boot in safe mode or safe mode with networking.

my login screen is set so i have to type the user name (no drop down box).

thanks for any help
