trying to download movie clip from my camcorder but i can not get it to work, my computer do not recognize my jvc camcorder

Hi,
Did the camera come with a drivers disk, and have you installed it?
Also are you sure the IEEE1394 (Firewire) port is working OK, have you anything else to try in it?

i went into the bios and made sure it was enable and it was , i used this same firewire on another computer that had xp as a os and since i got this computer with vista it has not work, i even went and put in the other IEEE 1394 from the other computer and it still doesnot work
