I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista which does not allow me to fully play Sims 2. When I use a laptop with XP, it works perfectly.

What is wrong with Inspiron? I have ordered an XP but have not installed it yet.

Is it the laptop or the Vista?

Please advise
thank you

What do you mean when you say you cannot "fully play" The Sims 2?

Vista is completely compatible with The Sims 2.

Hi, whenever I try to create a NEW Sim, the game totally freezes and I have to completely abort the game.

Even if I'm not creating any Sims, it freezes on me occasionally.

Originally I had tried to load the original Sims on this laptop. That did not work out well as (probably) the game was too old?. It worked for a while then didn't like all the add-ons I put on (like Sims Neighbourhood) and would not start up for me.

COULD I HAVE DAMAGED THE DRIVERS OR SOME TECHNICAL PART OF MY DELL INSPIRON 1525??

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHY THIS DOESN'T WORK? IS THERE A REPAIR I CAN DO??

Would changing from Vista to XP help this situation??

Any help would be appreciated

thank you
