need help with a trojan virus

I got a message on facebook to check a cool video, when I clicked on the link it prompted me to download somthing to veiw the video. Then my mcafee virus scan started poping up saying a virus has been detected, I noticed everytime i went on the internet, a computer scan box would pop up so I tried a system restore, now my mcafee says it not protecting and I can't fix it, can't use system restore again.
