Hi There

Why dont you uninstall the NIC (device manager, right click NIC and select uninstall), reboot the PC and enter the BIOS and disable the NIC. Then shut down the PC and reenable it.

Looks like a driver is corrupt somewhere. Is this machine online by other means ie USB / WIFI?

Hi There

MS Quote:

Code 20
Windows could not load one of the drivers for this device. (Code 20)

To fix this, click Update Driver to update the drivers for this device.

Solution button: Update Driver

This code means VxD Loader (Vxdldr) returned an unknown result. For example, there could a version mismatch between the device driver and the operating system.

To resolve this issue, follow the recommended solution. If that does not work, try removing the device from Device Manager and then running the Add New Hardware Wizard in Control Panel.

That is really weird. Are you trying to install the driver software with the card disabled in the BIOS?

I'd like to know what this different setup was as I've PC a PC Tech for over 11 years and never had a problem with driver installs or know of any of any other methods.
