very slow puter..

hello a while back i had a virus and i believe i got it out..(warnings have stopped) but ever since the puter has been acting very slow..we have AOL with cable and now it takes forever sometimes to log on...and then sometimes the home page doesnt load up at all and then no page will load up so we need to restart the puter. and then since the problem IE or opera wont load up at all..even though we have cable.
any ideas?

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
