when I did the release step it says: "No operation can be performed on Bluetooth Network Connection while it has its media disconnected. An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection : An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint. No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has its media disconnected. :)

OK lets try another way.

What is your wireless network name (SSID) and have you added this to your wireless network profiles in Network and Sharing Center?

You assurred me earlier that the settings on your machine matched that on the router. I'd like to verify that.

OK right click the 2 small computer icons down next to the clock.
Select connect to a network.
Choose wireless and click the refresh icon.
See if your network is listed.
If so then connect.
You will be prompted for the security key.
