While browsing the net with windows XP as the OS, net is getting hung and it is not going further after a few minutes. Checked for adwares and trojan. It is not even possible to disconnect the net connection by clicking the TCP/IP connector icon. Machine is getting hung and will not be able to shut down in the normal manner. Can you advice what the problem could be. I will be grateful. Thanks in advance.

Try Tune Up Trial

Run disc clean up then registry clean up to see if it removes obsolete entries

Tune Up

You can also click optimize and improve then tune up system optimizer then optimze computer then accelerate downloads, to see if it picks up on anything

In optimize you can run reg defrag, have you defragmented the drive

Thanks Keith for your time. I will try the method you have suggested. I have not defragmented the drive.
