Hi Friends,

Yesterday i got a severe problem. My laptop was working all fine. I thought to start winamp and selected few songs and pressed enter. it started single winamp window for a song so lots of winamps and i tried to shut down, but system hanged. Then i pressed the power button untill it shut down, \but when i started system again it gave me four options,

Safe mode
safe mode with command prompt
safe mode with networking
and the last known good configuration.

But neither the option worked and it said that there is one registry file missing or corrupt. \put back installation \cd and restart then press repair computer.

I booted from Origional DVD, But after loading files there is one screen where there is samll bar running of Microsoft Corporation. But nothing beyond that.

Kindly advise, How to get rid of this problem.

Thanks and Regards

Harry
