I have two programs that have their own unintall links. They will not uninstall using the control panel add/remove.

Both of these two come up with the message error "can't run 16-bit Windows Program".
Then it also says to be sure I have all the files and components.

So I went and downloaded both of them again trying to get any missing files. Nothing worked.

I really want these off my computer. They are each over 35MB and I just don't want them.

Can anyone understand that error message and tell me what to do?

Thanks so much! Pennie77

You asked what programs they are and where they are from.

They are both foreign online casinos that I didn't know
didn't accept USA players.

They each have two extending tabs 1) to enter the casino
and 2) to uninstall the casino.

I get the same error message on both of them when I try
to uninstall them

They ARE both in the add/remove programs but WILL NOT
budge from there! They just turn blue and stay.

Thanks for any kind of help! Pennie77

Download Revo Uninstaller
Find any entries for the programs and uninstall them.
Let me know how this works for you.

"can't run 16-bit Windows Program" message may be also a sign of some infection.

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

:) rshaffer61 you are pure genius! I just found your entry today. I've already downloaded it,
used it on the two trouble programs plus a third one I had written the maker about! It's an awesome
wonderful tool to have. I can't thank you enough!

A fellow from "Computer Hope" had written me some fairly complicated instructions.
I was gonna have to have my son figure them out. Now you've solved all my troubles!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!!

You are very welcome.
Any time you have a program that just is being stubborn you can use that program to get rid of it.
Be careful because if you pick the wrong program you can really mess the system up.
