around june i got a virus by downloading an .exe file without caution so i ended up getting a virus, came to this site and got it all removed. the person who helped me said everything should be clean now but i also hear that even if i system restore to a date before i got the virus like in may it could still be dangerous.

so what im asking is, is it safe to system restore to may if i got my virus in june and everything is supposedly clean now?

If you went through the Malware Forum there should be no Restore Dates available before the virus cleanup.
