Computer shuts down without warning when running flash or video etc

my computer randomly shuts down when certian programs are running like flash or java or videos, the computer gives no warning, just all of the sudden goes off and then starts back up. It does not shut down, just goes black. Thank you so much.

One possibility is that the CPU is overheating. Can you open the case and take a look for dust in there? (Unplug the power cord first.) If it is dusty blow it out of with canned air.

it could also be the video card, what kind of vid. card do you have?
