The last few weeks I've been having severe issues with my computer halting and freezing, and when I bring up task manager one of the scvhost.exe files is always running at 100%. When I click on end task the only thing that happens is my sound is gone but the computer is running normal again. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers for my sound card, updated them and also even put in a new sound card all with the same results. I've ran both anti-virus (avg 8) malware and defrag with no results either. :) If someone could give me some other suggestions that would be wonderful
Thank you in advance for your help

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a OTListIt2 log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a OTListIt2 log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
