Problem with Rainbow Six Vegas ( 1 )

So I installed R6Vegas, then it wouldn't start, so I just re-installed and tried again.

When I double click the icon, my mouse cursor gets the sand timer thing, then a little CD pops up next to my mouse cursor. This is really weird since it has never done that before.

I know this game works since I played it before I re-installed my windows.

What could be wrong?
