I've been dealing with a problem for close to a month now. After so long, my internet connection will stop recieving or transmitting data, and my system will endure a sort of hybrid slow down, where when I try to open a file/program, it won't open it until I try opening something else, in which it will then activate the last process I tried to do, this also applies to the right click menus.
I've gotten rid of everything I've been able to find to my knowledge, and I'm not picking up anything with AVG, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, CWshredder, or anything that looks out of place in my processes menu.

So I figured I'll just post my HijackThis log here... Since I just recently dealt with veritas on my system a second time, I figured something might have pushed it's way into my system during the slight period of vulnerability... Also it's pretty much useless for me to try to get any online scanners such as Panda software's Active scan, due to the problem and the fact I'm on a dial-up connection.

Are you sure the programs you used are up-to-date ? :tazz:

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL = http://www.begin2sea...sidesearch.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.begin2sea...sidesearch.html

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {B8337A51-978E-A55F-EAD1-A85E91AB07F5} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Inet Xp..] teekids.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Update] vpc32.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PPPOEO] pingppac.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Dns Resolver] dnsrslve.exe
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe

Then reboot and do an online virusscan for example here: http://housecall.antivirus.com/

Then update Windows and IE and post back with a new log.

Ok... There is gonna be a few problems in what you are asking me to do.

My Windows is as up to date as it is going to be unless I get Service Pack 2, which due to some incompatibility issues which I need to get resolved, I cannot install without something worse than my current problem happening.
As for internet explorer, well, yes, if anything needs updated, that does. Unfortunatly the computer in question I cannot hook up to the internet at the moment, so any updates and online virus scanners will have to wait.

Though I can do the hijackthis procedure at the moment.
(Upon later inspection upon a log file of my "aswclnr" utility, it had detected Teekids and deleted it before, but no other scanner managed to find it... Oh well, useless information now)
