internet explorer is experiencing a problem

I am having a problem signing onto Facebook, and only facebook. Everytime I enter my ID and my password and it redirects me to my homepage, the box from the internet explorer pops up and says its experiencing a problem and it needs to shut down, report the problem or don't report. I have Norton loaded on my computer, and adware, and I have scanned my computer numerous times, and have updated my definations numerous times, but its not picking up on what is prohibiting me from sucessfully logging onto Facebook.
