This computer has had a lot of problems - it's my son's and he didn't take very good care of it with respect to scanning, etc so it got very infected at one point. I cleaned it per your directions and things seemed to be going fine but at some point, and my son (Austin) says this started after he installed Halo, the sound and video started having problems...like it skips and starts/stops and just sounds like crap. Video also has similar "stuttering" problems. He's since removed Halo but the problems with audio & video continue.
I've run the first phase of the malware cleaning guide again and am posting the logs here.
So, I want to rule out a virus/infection before going back to the manufacturer to see what they can do, as it's still under warranty (it's less than a year old).
