Hello everyone. First of all, I would like to apologize if I have posted this in the wrong section. I recently bought my laptop with no interest in PC gaming. However, something has caught my eye, and I have come to find out that my graphics card, or in this case chip, is not good enough.

The chip type is a NIVIDIA GeForce 8200M G. I believe I read that if I wanted to upgrade it, I'd have to replace the whole main board and that it could end up costing more than the laptop itself. Is this true, or do I have any alternatives? If I have not explained my situation good enough, please let me know and I'll try to make it understandable. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Ah! Sorry about that, it is the G60-231WM.

Unfortunately, the specifications for this laptop don't state if the Vid card is integrated into the motherboard. There is also no service/maintenance manual on the HP site.

If the vid card is integrated, there is no way to upgrade it without changing the entire motherboard. There are places that can change the vid card, but they're costly and you take a big chance that you'll experience problems later.

What actually has caught your eye that you laptop can't handle it as it is?

It's a new MMORPG called "AION" developed by NCsoft.

Hey I created an account just to let you know...I have the same exact laptop as you and I have played aion on medium settings without any lag whatsoever.
