my c media a197 audio device says code 10 unable to start. i was uninstalling some old norton protection and i accidentally uistalled this audio program. now the sound will not play. i followed the troubleshoot directions. unistalled and tried to reinstall. part of he reinstall insrtuctions says to click( add a new hardware device and then next) then follow more steps to reinstall. however; the wizard just allows me to highlight the device and click finish not next. thats as far as i can get. my computer is a microsoft everex..windows xp. i dont know a lot about computers so that as much info as i can give. please help.

You need to go to your computer manufacturer web site, download sound driver, uninstall current one, and install fresh one.
