setup windows error

haloooo guys.........

i'm have big problem .......

i want to setup windows xp.

after im run this setup,sudenly windows said

" file acpi.sys coused an unexpected error ( 8192 ) at line 5964 in
d : /xpsprtm/base/boot/setup/setup c.



press any key to restart oyur computer.


plezzzz.........help me.............

Hello,
Is this a "newer" machine. Can you list the specs.

Normally, this error is caused by a bios setting for ACPI. ACPI is probably "enabled" in bios. If you disable it, the error should clear up, so go into bios, disable it, and try the install again.

Please list the specs of your computer. If its an OEM (Dell, hp, gateway, etc), list the manufacture and full model number.
