I recently just updgraded to Vista. The thing is, my computer won't go on the internet, and I think I know why. I went to cmd and typed ipconfig /all. This is the result:

Windows IP Configuration

Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Computer2
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid
IP Routing Enabled . . . . . . . .: No
WINS Proxy Enable . . . . . . . . : No

Ethernet adapter ????:

Media state . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
Physical Address . . . . . . . . : 00-E0-4C-E3-E6-58
dHCP Enable . . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes

Tunnel adapter ????*:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . : isatap.{1EF198EE-6782-4B05-B615-F21833E18DDE}
Physical Address . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . : No
Autoconfiguration Enable . . . . : Yes
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . :
NetBIOS over Tcpip . . . . . . . : Diabled

As you can see, there is absolutely no mention of an IP address here, so can anyone help me, cause I'm in desperate need of accessing the internet.

Did you install all Vista compatible drivers?
Any errors in Device Manager?
What computer brand and model is it? How old?

Thank you for replying. I have a Realtek RTL8139//810x Family fast Ethernet NIC, with no exclamation mark or question mark next to it.

That doesn't answer all of my questions.
