Well I am currently running an AMD on windows. I bought a M-Audio trigger finger (Just a USB Audio drum controller). I run the CD and it installs the drivers, and says to restart my comp. When I restart it says new devices found. And it lists TWO! My USB Keyboard already hooked up (it worked fine). When I try to install drivers for both of them, I select which I want ot install (USB Keyboard driver), and click next, but then it freezes. Run a dll as an app has encountered a problem. wghen I click details it says setupapi.dll and rundll32.dll are the "problems" I ran adaware and spybot, and now i just ran Hijack this. Here is my log. thanks for all the help you cna give me.

Again, thanks! I want to use this so badly. When I go into device manager it just lists two USB Audio devices. When I try to install drivers for them (keyboard/drum controller) it just freezes in the same way. I even did a system restore, and have deleted the drivers and tried reinstaling, but nothing fixes it. I am thinking it must be a malware? The keyboard worked fine and had installed, but tthat changed when I hooked up this new device. If I system restore, My midi keyboard still works, but after I boot up the CD oef the drum controller, it disables them.

EDIT- heres a screenshot

Hi dubbyah,

Can you do me a favor and surf to:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
and upload this file to be scanned:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mstfgher.dll

Let me know the results please.

Please do that first. Then download http://www.derbilk.de/SpSeHjfix112.zip to the desktop and then
right click a blank part of desktop & select new folder, call it spfix
unzip the file into that folder

Disconnect from the net and Close ALL OPEN PROGRAMS.
Run 'SpSeHjfix'. and click on "Start Disinfection".
When it's finished it will reboot your machine to finish the cleaning process.
The tool creates a log of the fix which will appear in the folder.

If it doesn't find any of the SE files or any hidden reinstallers it will say system clean

Reboot and post a new HijackThis log.

Regards,
