Yeah, but what was the extension of that zipped file?
They may not allow all type of zipped formats.

well I have tried to install the sr.inf and it runs but asks for other files that I cannot find either on my system or my xp pro dvd. I was asked to reboot and now system restore appears in the accessories.system tools folder but it will not run. The missing files are: filelist.xml; srclient.dll; srframe.mmf; srsvc.dll; smstr.dll; srdiag.dll. I am sorry to be such a nuisance. When you kind people have had enough just let me know and I will give up.

I cannot find either on my system or my xp pro dvd

Those files have to be there. You may not see them, because they're compressed.
For instance, filelist.xml will look like filelist.xm_
Use wild card for searches. Search for filelist*
When you find filelist.xm_, copy it to your computer, and double click on it to unzip it.
filelist.xm_ will become filelist.xml

If you still can't find them, let me know, and I'll zip them for you.

I don't think so.
Now it's unclear. Do you have 64-bit CD? If not, how did you install that version?
