Hi, I formatted my hard drive to start freash and now I find I have no sound and cant play a DVD.
If I go to system manager it shows that some drivers are missing.
I am using a Sahara laptop. Anyone have any ideas?

Well I have been all over the internet this morning looking for drivers and all I can find is the contact information for Sahara
I would suggest trying them and see if they can sell you a drivers cd for your system.

We can try another way and maybe I can find individual drivers this way.

Download and install Free Everest Home Edition
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.

DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING UNDER THE LINE THAT SAYS "DEBUG- PCI"

Go HERE to the SIS download center.

Get the:
SiS 7012 Audio Device
SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter
SiS 330 Mirage Video Adaptor

These should take care of three of the problems.
I'll keep looking for the modem for you. Please let me know how this all works.

Hi rshaffer61, I have the same problem as Calvin1 (and I am using the same model), I clicked on the link you provided in the previous post and I found the SiS 7012 Audio Device but when I installed it, I got an error
'UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevices
-536870397'
I do not understand this error as it does not say any thing, just 'UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevices' on the title bar and '-536870397' as a message on the windows alert.

Please Go to

1: STARTand the click on RUN

To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard. It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
Now go to Start and then to All Programs
Scroll to Accessories and then click on Paint
In the Empty White Area click and hold the CTRL key and then click the V
Go to the File option at the top and click on Save as
Save as file type JPEG and save it to your Desktop
