Admin. on computer locked me out

I am running a windows Xp professional with the service pack 1 and I went to the safe mode to attempt to change the admin. password and the computer locked me out. Now all I get is the log in screen and I can not get past it and I can not get the BIOS by pressing F1. So can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this problem?

Sorry, but we do not assist with hacking/cracking passwords.

Although your request may be on the up and up, there is no way we can verify that.

All we can do is suggest you re-install XP.
