I had a problem with the whole "System Security 2009" beast a short time ago and ended up having to re-format. Now I'm being hit by a new issue - browser re-directs in both Firefox and IE. Both malwarebytes and my main program (McAfee) have identified some issues and removed them, but are pretty helpless against the rootkit I've got now.

By the way, the most recent results from McAfee scanning turned up two things:
NTOSKRNL-HOOK - "removed" (just like the other ten times it said that?)
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\KBIWKMTGJYKJDG.DLL - scan after restart

I have tried installing both RootRepeal and GMER (had to copy from a flash drive because browser re-directs obviously won't let me get to things like that) but neither is functional. The former just does nothing when I double-click the application, while the latter responds with "The procedure entry point (a mile of garbage) could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL"

Any ideas? Thanks very much in advance for your assistance.
