i need to find out how to reinstall the internet protocol tcp ip on my network connection to install my dsl. i previously could simply go through the "help" portion of windows xp and resolve any issues, but lately, that option is non existant. i have gone so far as to go through adding components, but, still no luck.

if your running windows XP, just run the network setup wizard, and select the connect to the internet option, you might have to select your internet provider and other information if your first option fails
