When I hit print, my computer recognizes I hit print and the document is put in the queue, but nothing happens. I have an HP PSC 1400 Series.

I printed from this printer last spring semester, went home for the summer and printed on a different printer via a wireless network (HP Office Jet Pro L7500 Series) and now I am back to the psc1400. The default printer is the psc1400 so I know it's "printing" to the right printer. I also scanned something to use the printer as a copier and it printed that, so I know the printer itself works, it's just a connection problem (my computer does recognize the printer is connected to the computer though).

I was clicking around and went to check the ink levels and I got the following error: "The computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the device", so I guess that's the problem.

Uninstall and reinstall the printer software.
If you do not have the original CD, you can get the driver from the HP Website.
