I have a 64 bit vista home premium LG lap top
I use Panda Global Protection 2009 for my virus program.
I installed windows updates yesterday (aug 31) and when I logged into my computer after all was done,
Panda popped up and said this:
Program modified!
the following program has recently been modified and is trying to access the internet.
C:/Windows?system32/lsass.exe
(except the slashes are the other way - can't figure out how to use the back slash on my lap top )
then I have three choices:
always deny the connection
deny the connection (the default option chosen by Panda)
always allow the connection
now I know that lsass.exe is a system file, and it is located in system 32, and that should be all I need right? to allow the connection?
Suggestions please,
why would this pop up after an update?
The past couple of days windows has updated:
Definitions for defender (which as far as I know I don't use)
KB915597(definiton 1.65.146.0) sept 1
KB915597(definition 1.63.2059.0) aug 28
KB915597(definition 1.63.2033.0) aug 27
updates for windows vista 64 bit systems
KB968389 aug 29
KB970653 aug 26
KB972036 aug 26
internet x 8 compatibility (which I don't use)
KB973874 aug 26
This pop up happened yesterday (aug 31) and I haven't done anything but try to find an answer.
The pop up is still there and I haven't turned off my computer.
Anyone?
Thanks, Carmen
