CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945
Ram: Patriot PC3-12800 4gb but only 3.25gb is used by windows
Free space on C: 249gb
Antivirus: Mcafee

123Runner: I'm going to reinstall the all the drivers again now, starting with the motherboard,
And yes I reinstalled the OS completely after format

I ran out of coffee this morning and I'm just having my first cup. I guess, it didn't kick in yet :)

I meant sound chip. Sound chip may be malfunctioning. Since you did everything, you could, regarding sound driver, and it still gives you same errors, I suspect, you may need to get a sound card.

haha well thanks for all the help everyone, I basically exchanged to a different motherboard and bought a nice new video card as well, computer seems fine now
