I have been having problems with outlook; it started on Outlook XP and is still with even after upgrading to 2003. I have removed and reinstalled both version a couple time without relief.
These problems started fairly recently after I reinstalled XP OS.
After searching around I saw that HP director might be a problem and removed it along with Norton Systems work which helped a little.

I have noticed that it seems to get slower the longer it is open. Right away I can click on a email and open it......5 minutes later it hangs on just about anything so I end up closing it down (always with the help of the task manager)

One thing I found interesting was after I upgraded to 2003 I went to the MS site to download office sp1 & updates.
After I downloaded and opened it said it could not locate office 2003.
I did a repair which couldn't find some of the needed files even though I just installed.
Finally after a successful repair the sp1 successfully installed.
Any ideas I am out of them and tired of it big time
Thanks
Grant

I removed it since I found a couple people who found that to be a problem.
Should I reinstall it?
I have Norton's anti virus, does that have that option?

I happen to notice that at the banner it reads

Inbox - Microsoft Outlook (Logging Enabled)
Whatis logging enabled and should it be enabled?
Thanks Again

Logically, logging enabled should slow Outlook down the longer it is in operation.

If you press NAV options then the misc tab you should have the option to remove the tick from Office plug in. The plug in slows any Office programme which uses macros or goes online, Word can freeze if NAV scans the document before opening.
