hi.

For some reason, whenever i download files using firefox, they tend to hang every few seconds or so. basically, i don't even think it downloads anything whilst it's hanging, so it ends up taking much longer than the estimated time remaining says.

here are the add-ons i currently have installed:

adblock plus
fasterfox lite
flashgot
idm cc (internet download manager integration)
mouse gestures redox
no script
tab mix plus

i remember the downloads being fine a month or so ago, so i am really baffled as to what may have triggered this. i would really appreciate the help to fix this problem for me.

Close Firefox. Go Start>All Programs>Mozilla Firefox, click on Mozilla Firefox (safe mode). Same thing?

What AV/firewall do you use?

yep, still get the same thing.

i am currently using ESET NOD32 as my AV and comodo internet security as my firewall.

Restart computer in Safe Mode with Networking and see, if same thing happens.
