I have an old Dell Dimension E510. I am having problems getting Windows XP to recognize my NEC 3530A DVD+/-RW when I insert a dvd+r. When I do this it shows up as just a cd drive and doesn't recognize a dvd in the drive.
I have tried to go into the registry and deleted the Upperfilters and lowerfilters for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers, yet I still have this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
