Hi,

My internet connection works, but only for awhile. It randomly stops working at one point, but usually within 20 minutes it's over, so not completely random. After a reboot it works again for awhile... The computer model is an Acer Aspire 8930G, it's my parents laptop they just bought it (terrible choice, but oh well).

Is this a hardware problem you think or are there any test to run for the connection or port?

Thanks!

They did, several times. They spent hours and hours on hold to eventually be redirected to their internet service provide who sent them back to Acer.

They're not getting any help, so they turned to me and in turn I turned to the good people of the GTG forums :)

Well, it looks like there is something physically wrong with that laptop, so there is not much we can do around here.
Don't allow Acer to play games with you.
It's very simple...
The laptop is still under warranty.
They either fix it, or take it back.
There is no reason to settle to anything less, than that.

Yes, you are very right and I completely agree. If they send it back however they will loose it for weeks, maybe months. Perhaps it is just a driver problem... if it aint, it's a hardware problem. I am here to find out to save them the trouble of loosing their CPU for weeks. So if anyone knows how to run some test I would very much appreciate the help.
