I am loading win98 from start up disk and it starts and then I have to type fdisk, I hit enter and this is the message I get..NO FIXED DISK PRESENT..

what do I do now? :)

Before you go any further you do have a Windows 98 CD?
The FDisk error usually means the hard drive has failed.
