Upon the removal of my USB device, I received an empty cmd black box titled C:\WINDOWS\system32\Adsnt1-1.exe. I closed this and minutes later got another. this happened 6 times and when I checked my system32 folder, I discovered that one file was created for each popup i got. adsnt 1 thru adsnt 6. Is this a virus and how do I get rid of it. please help!!

According to searches on it, this is either a worm or a trojan downloader. Either way it's nasty.

Copy paste courtesy of rshaffer61:

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread.

The guides and people here are awesome. This should sort you out fairly quickly. :)
