I am having some trouble with my hp mini 1116NR, I get an error while booting up ( BOOTMGR is compressed ) I have tried just about everything in my hands to fix it and nothing seems to work. here is my situation I do not have the revovery cd i am in Mexico for a few more months and I do not have an external CD drive. I am using a friends computer to download the HP MIE Restore Image Creator to my 8gb flash drive in my first attempt nothing happened and it did not work I am going to try it again but this time I would like some feedback from some of you who have had this issue. Also I called HP tech support and they told me that the HP MIE restore image creator will only work for linux yet on the hp site it specifies that it is for windows xp. Thanks in advanced!
